Man Arrested After Violent Threat Against CT Attorney General's Office

A Bridgeport man is in custody after making a violent threat against the Connecticut Attorney General’s office.

According to state police, on Thursday at approximately 4:47 p.m., Daniel Brown called the Attorney General’s office and spoke with Assistant Attorney General Sandra Arenas-Charles.

Brown stated that he was upset that he was not receiving the assistance that he needed.

Brown then indicated that he would do what had been done earlier in the day at the Navy base in Tennessee where two guardsmen were shot by a fellow guardsman.

Brown repeated this threat and hung up the phone.

Investigators responded and located Brown at his home in Bridgeport. He was charged with Threatening 2nd and Breach of Peace 2nd.

Brown was held on $10,000 bail and is set to appear in Hartford court Friday.
