New Haven police have arrested a man for driving under the influence in connection to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Saturday night.
Officers were called to Winthrop Avenue at Sylvan Avenue around 5:30 p.m. after getting a report of a crash with major injuries.
Police said a 4-door sedan and a motorcycle were involved in the crash.
The 28-year-old motorcyclist, who was from New Haven, did not survive his injuries, authorities added. His identity has not been released.
According to police, the driver of the 4-door sedan was identified as 42-year-old Jerry Boucicault, of New Haven. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
Boucicault was held on a $100,000 bond and is due in court on Monday.
The crash remains under investigation.
