Westport police have arrested a man in connection with a check-cashing scheme.
Officers from Westport went to the Wethersfield Police Department on Sunday and took Pablo Antonetty, 43, of Hartford into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant in connection with check forgery.
First County Bank filed a report on June 10, 2014 about forged checks being cashed and Westport detectives identified Antonetty as one of the suspects in the scheme.
He is accused of cashing an unauthorized check from a company and has been charged with fifth-degree larceny and first-degree forgery.
He was unable post $35,000 bond and is due in court on July 29.
