A man has died at the hospital after a shooting at the New England Tractor Trailer Training School last month.
Bridgeport Police said 28-year-old Eric Salters, of New Haven, was shot at the school at the corner of Barnum Avenue and East Main Street on January 26. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment and died on February 4, according to police.
Salters was a student of the school, police said. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.
Evidence suggests that when Salters went to his car during class, he was confronted by a gunman, who opened fire on him without provocation, police said.
Salters was hit multiple times, including once in the head.
