Police have identified man who drowned in a lake in Fairfield Thursday.
Police, firefighters and dive teams were called to Lake Mohegan around 10:30 a.m. after Frank Mazzabufi went under.
Lifeguards initially looked for Mazzabufi, 39, and were joined by police and firefighters soon after.
Rescuers found his body around 12:30 p.m.
Mazzabufi, of Shelton, was fishing with a friend when he slipped under the water.
