
A man died after he was hit in East Hartford by a driver who left the scene on Friday night and a suspect has been arrested, according to police.
Police officers responded to the area of Long Hill Drive and Burnside Avenue at 7:37 p.m. on Friday and found a man with serious injuries.
The East Hartford Fire Department arrived and the man was transported to the hospital, where he died soon after, police said.
The road was closed until around 1 a.m.

Soon after, police found the vehicle they believe hit the man, a 2001 gray Buick, along with the suspected driver, a 43-year- old East Hartford man, who was charged with evading responsibility.
