Police ID Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Hartford

Police have identified the man who died after a motorcycle crash in Hartford on Saturday night.

Officers were called to the intersection of Locust Street and East Elliott Street around 7:30 p.m. after getting a report of a motorcycle crash.

When they arrived, police said they found the driver of the motorcycle and a female passenger suffering from injuries.

The driver, later identified as 21-year-old Pedro Torres, of Hartford, was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he later died, authorities said.

The passenger on the motorcycle, identified as a 19-year-old woman, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment, police added.

Detectives responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the crash.

According to officers, the motorcycle Torres was driving at the time of the crash was listed as actively stolen from West Hartford on August 15.
