A Hartford man is in critical condition after being shot in the face in the South End last night, police said.
Jose Diaz-Tequero, 25, is in serious condition at Hartford Hospital. He was shot in the face just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after running into the street at Chapin Place, 570 Wethersfield Avenue, according to police.
Authorities said they believe the victim will survive but that it's still too soon to tell.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division is continuing to investigate.
