A 34-year-old man is dead after a shooting in New Britain Tuesday night. Police have identified the victim as Erik Rivera, of New Britain.
Police said he was found in the 200 block of North Street and transported to Hartford Hospital, where he later died.
A witness told NBC Connecticut he heard the gunfire while he was playing video games inside his apartment.
“I was in my apartment playing Fortnite and I heard gunshots. So I had to drop my remote and came outside. And I came outside and I saw some guy lying down. I was traumatized. I didn’t know what to do," Christian Olan said.
