A Bridgeport man was shot several times while he was on his front porch on Tuesday night and police are looking for the shooter.
Bridgeport police responded to the intersection of Newfield and Stratford avenues just before 11 p.m. to investigate a shooting and found Abdul Nelson. 39.
He’d been shot in the upper left leg, lower right leg and two fingers on the left hand and said he did not know where the shots came from, police said.
Emergency crews rushed Nelson to Bridgeport Hospital to be treated and police said his condition is not life-threatening.
Police are investigating and two witnesses said they heard three or four shots from the direction of Stratford Avenue and Newfield Avenue and then saw a vehicle take off.
