Man Stabbed During Drug Argument While Smoking Crack in Hartford

A 33-year-old man was stabbed several times during an argument about drugs while smoking crack cocaine in Hartford early Wednesday morning, police said, and authorities have made an arrest.

Police officers responded to Hartford Hospital at 2:30 a.m. to investigate a stabbing and the victim said he was in a Chrysler Town & Country minivan parked on Webster Street, smoking crack cocaine with other people, when he got into an argument about the drugs with a person in the backseat.

The passenger stabbed him several times, he told police, the victim got out of the van and the driver fled.

A passing driver was flagged down and brought the victim to Hartford Hospital, according to police.

The owner of the Chrysler ultimately agreed to meet with police and police said they found the vehicle and the occupants in Vernon.
