Injuries in Bristol Crash Less Severe Than They Appeared: Police

A 38-year-old man was injured in a crash in Bristol Tuesday night, but police said his injuries are not as severe as crews who responded to the scene originally thought.

Police were called to Mountain Road shortly before 11 p.m. after a vehicle rolled over and trapped the driver.

When first responders arrived to the scene, they said they found the male driver unresponsive. Emergency personnel at the scene felt the driver might have sustained serious, possible life-threatening injuries, police said.

He was extracted from the vehicle was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated.

It was later determined that the man had minor injuries. Police said he is expected to fully recover.

The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
