A man charged with slashing tires in West Haven did it to take out his anger, according to police.
A witness told police Ensley-Stephan Negron-Ramirez slashed tires on four or five cars at a gas station at the intersection of Elm Street and First Avenue, police said. The witness said Negron-Ramirez stated he was angry about accidentally leaving his duffel bag on a transit bus, and wanted to take his anger out on something, according to police.
Negron-Ramirez admitted he slashed the tires, police said. Officers said they also found illegally-obtained prescription drugs on him.
He was charged with criminal mischief and illegally obtaining prescription drugs, and was being held on $25,000 bond.
