An 86-year-old woman who was reported missing from New Britain has been found dead, according to police.
A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday for 86-year-old Mary Braga. Police said Wednesday afternoon that she was found dead near her neighborhood and her death does not appear to be suspicious. The office of the chief medical examiner will determine what Braga died of.
Police said she suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Braga would have turned 87 next Wednesday.
The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information is asked to call the New Britain Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at (860) 826-3131.
