Mother Killed in Snowmobile Accident

Rosanna Neri, 39 of Glastonbury, has died in a snowmobiling accident in Massachusetts.  Her 7-year-old daughter was riding with her, according to Massachusetts state officials.  She escaped with minor injuries.

Troopers said two snowmobiles collided atop Mt. Greylock in the Berkshires Saturday.  Police were originally dispatched to rescue a mother and her 2 daughters on the frigid mountain nearly 3,491 feet up.

Park rangers, and police had to use snowmobiles to get to the four injured people. 

Neri was pronounced dead at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA. 

Police said her two daughters, ages 7 and 8, suffered minor injuries.  The fourth rider is also expected to recover.

The crash is under investigation by the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
