Motorcycle Hit Car, Pedestrian on I-95 in Old Lyme: Police

A motorcycle crashed into a car and hit a pedestrian on the shoulder of I-95 in Old Lyme on Saturday.

State police responded to the report of a person hit in the northbound lanes of I-95 between exits 70 and 71.

When troopers arrived, they determined that a car stopped on the shoulder of the highway and a passenger got out of the car.  As that happened, the motorcycle operator rode into the shoulder, hit the car, and then hit the person who had gotten out of the car, according to police.

At least two people were taken to the hospital.  Police said the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
