Multiple State Parks Close After Reaching Parking Capacity

Multiple state parks have closed after reaching parking capacity on Sunday.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said the following parks have reached capacity and are now closed for the day:

  • C.P. Huntington State Park in Bethel, Newtown and Redding
  • Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford
  • Lovers Leap State Park in New Milford
  • Millers Pond State Park in Haddam
  • Penwood State Park in Bloomfield
  • Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme
  • Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden
  • Southford Falls State Park in Southbury
  • Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury
  • Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middletown
