The mayor of New Britain is using her social media platforms to address the issue of people setting off fireworks and firecrackers and she’s asking residents to show respect for their neighbors and not set them off.
“Every night? Why?,” Mayor Erin Stewart posted on Facebook.
She wrote that police will go out to address the problem if people call 860-826-3000 to report where this is happening.
The Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department is asking people not to use fireworks and to report those who do to help prevent fires.
