The man police said shot a 27-year-old New Haven man in the head and killed him was caught Thursday in Virginia
Darryl Staton, 38, shot Enrique Lawrence, and his mother, Linda, shot in the head inside their Munson St. home on Feb. 11, police said.
After the shooting, Linda Lawrence was able to call police and report the shooting.
Police charged Staton with murder, police said Wednesday and he was arrested Thursday in Dumfie, Va.
New Haven police were able to find the suspect because they got some information early on Thursday morning that Staton was at a particular location in Dumfrie.
It was right. Local police called a Virginia sheriff's department and they took Staton into custody.
