Another New Haven Homicide

Latest incident is the city's 33rd homicide of the year.

Police in New Haven are investigating yet another shooting death.

Joseph Zargo, of West Haven, was shot in the area of 50 Houston Street just before 1 a.m. Friday. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Zargo just turned 27 on Wednesday.

It is the city's 33rd homicide of the year.

Police blocked off Houston Street from Chambers Street to Chapel Street for most of the morning.

The deadly shooting occurred a little more than an hour after another shooting. Christopher Duncan, 26, was shot while sitting in a car in the area of Wilson Street and Rossett Street around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Duncan was driven to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he underwent surgery.
