Man Charged With Murder After Confessing to New Haven Shooting: PD

New Haven police have arrested a man for murder after they said he confessed to shooting and killing another man following an argument on Thursday.

Offices said they were called to 109 Court Street after getting a report of a person shot.

When they arrived, they said they found 55-year-old Michael Rosario with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where died on Friday.

Detectives said they secured a confession from 53-year-old Robert Parris Jr. for being responsible for Rosario's death. He is facing a murder charge and his bond has been set at $750,000. He also had an arrest warrant for violation of a protective order out of Meriden.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred after Rosario and Parris Jr. got into an argument. At least one of the people involved live in the building, police said.

Parris is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday.
