New Haven police investigated an unattended bag near Union Station on Monday morning and police later said they determined it held children's toys.
Union Avenue near South Orange Street was closed to vehicles and pedestrians while the investigation continues.
Police told NBC Connecticut around 12 p.m. that the road was reopening and officers were clearing the scene.
Police later said the bag contained children's toys. It was removed as lost or abandoned property.
