A New Haven school was put into lockdown Tuesday afternoon after shots were fired nearby.
Police responded to the report of shots fired on Goffe Street. The scene is near the Dr. Reginald Mayo Early Learning Center, according to police.
The learning center was placed on lockdown, a New Haven Public Schools spokesperson said. The students and staff were all safe, he said.
No one was injured in the shooting, according to police.
