Newtown police say a teen who went missing Sunday afternoon has been found safe.
The 17-year-old boy named Nicholas went missing on foot around noon, according to police.
Police were searching the area near Winton Farm Road. They used police dogs, drones, water rescue crews and firefighters are also helped with the search.
Nicholas was located shortly before 2 p.m. several miles from his home, police said.
He was found by a passing driver and he was covered in mud, according to police. He was evaluated by emergency crews.
