One person was killed in a car fire on the Charter Oak Bridge in Hartford Sunday afternoon and state police are asking witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said the fire occurred around 2:50 p.m.
The northbound side of the highway was closed between exits 87 and 89 while police investigated.
Police have not identified the person who died.
State police are asking witnesses to call 860-534-1000.
