Filmmaker Michael Moore’s scheduled visit to UConn this week is inspiring joint creativity by area protesters.

Occupy UConn and Occupy Willimantic are joining forces to welcome Moore with a stage production.
Dressed as the "One Percent" the groups  will be performing satirical street theater in front of Jorgenson Theater where Moore is scheduled to speak Friday night as part of his book tour.
“It gives our movement a lot more credibility when we have people like Michael Moore supporting us,” said senior Brenna Regan, double environmental justice and sociology major.
Regan, a spokesperson for Occupy UConn and Occupy Storrs, caught up with Moore in Manhattan at Occupy Wall Street. Since Moore has been such a large proponent of the Occupy Movement, Regan said it's essencial local members capitlize on his visit.
The show is set to run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Organizers can be found on Facebook.
