Officials Seeking Snowmobilers Who Forced Connecticut Rider Off New Hampshire Trails

New Hampshire Fish and Game officials are asking the public's help in identifying two snowmobilers riding on the wrong side of the trail who forced a Connecticut snowmobiler off the trail and into the trees.

Sgt. Mark Ober says 38-year-old Jason Jeffery of Newington, Connecticut suffered serious injuries when he was pinned between his rented snowmobile and a tree after he was forced off the road.

Authorities say Jeffery said he was rounding a corner along the Jefferson Notch Road when he encountered an oncoming rider on a yellow Ski-doo model snowmobile his lane. That rider was accompanied by someone on a dark colored snowmobile.

Ober said investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident and the identity of two operators to contact Fish and Game at 603-271-3361.
