Get ready for more winter, Chuckles saw her shadow.
The first female "Connecticut Chuckles" -- also known as Molly – did her duty at the Lutz Children's Museum. Monday, she was sworn in and her first order of duty was to predict spring or more winter.
Folklore says that if a groundhog emerges from his, in this case her, burrow and fails to see its shadow, winter will end soon.
If it is sunny and the groundhog sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. That’s what happened Monday.
But why depend on a groundhog when NBC Connecticut has a weather team of real people who have a lot more experience than Molly?
