Two people have been taken to the hospital and traffic was backed up on Route 66 in Middletown after an oil truck rolled over and heating fuel leaked.
The rollover was on Washington Street by the plazas where Home Depot and Staples are located and police said a large amount of heating oil spilled.

Route 66 West was closed between Camp Street and Old Mill Road, according to the state Department of Transportation, but traffic is getting by in both directions.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded and Washington Street was expected to be closed for six to eight hours, according to police. It reopened just before 4:30 p.m.

The driver of the oil truck and another person were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the driver of the oil truck swerved unexpectedly and crashed into a car before rolling over and hitting a trailer.
