A 42-year-old Hartford man is dead after the moped he was driving was involved in a crash in Harford Monday night.
Police said a pickup that was turning onto Julius Street from New Britain Avenue and a motor scooter traveling east on New Britain Avenue collided just before 11 p.m. Monday.
The driver of the motor scooter, Wilson Matos, 42, of Hartford, was suffering from serious injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
The driver of the pickup stayed at the scene and was cooperative, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
