Route 8 in Colebrook Was Closed for Several Hours After Tractor-Trailer Rollover

Route 8 in Colebrook was closed for several hours on Tuesday after a tractor-trailer rolled over, spilling scrap metal, and struck several telephone poles.

State Dept. of Transportation officials said Route 8, also known as Colebrook River Road, was closed at Sandy Brook Road.

According to troopers, the tractor-trailer spilled scrap metal and struck several telephone poles. The poles need repairs and Eversource ressponded.

The road was closed for several hours.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident. The driver appears to be uninjured, state police added.
