An overturned tractor-trailer shut down a portion of I-95 in Fairfield for several hours Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the northbound lanes had been closed between exits 23 and 24 in order to investigate and clean up the debris.
Crews were dispatched to the area just before 3 a.m.
Investigators say the tractor-trailer was carrying various packages.
There are no reports of injuries.
The road has since been opened, but the investigation is ongoing.
