An 83-year-old Westport man was killed in a crash on Post Road East in Westport on the morning of Friday, May 13.
Police have identified the man as Harry Engel and said he was transported from the crash scene to Norwalk Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle heading westbound on the Post Road crossed into the eastbound lane and was involved in a head-on collision with two vehicles around 10 a.m., police said.
The drivers of the eastbound vehicles were not injured in the crash.
The Westport Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is investigating and police said no charges have been filed.
