A 61-year-old woman was killed Saturday night after a car hit her while she was crossing Wolcott Street in Waterbury.
The driver fled the scene after the accident in the area of 467 Wolcott Street around 6:10 p.m. Police are still looking for the driver.
Police have not released information on the identity of the woman at this time. She had been transported to Saint Mary's Hospital, but died at the hospital.
The road was closed in the area as police investigated the crash.
