A pedestrian is injured after getting struck by a car in Waterford on Monday.
Firefighters said a pedestrian has serious injuries after he or she was struck by a car on Niantic River Road around 9 a.m.
Police said the Niantic River Road is expected to be closed for several hours. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
