A man was struck by a vehicle in East Granby Monday morning and was taken to the hospital.
Troopers said a man from Norwich entered the roadway on Rainbow Road around 7:17 a.m. outside of a designated crosswalk area when he was struck by a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle applied her brakes, but was unable to stop before hitting the man, state police added.
The man was transported to the hospital to be treated for suspected serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the East Granby Resident Troopers Office at (860) 653-5213.
