Firefighters extricated one person after a vehicle crashed down an embankment on Interstate 95 in Westport on Sunday morning.
According to Westport Fire Department, firefighters were called to a crash on I-95 northbound around 6 a.m.
When crews got to the scene, they found a single-car crash with the vehicle down an embankment and one occupant trapped inside of the car, just north of exit 18.
Firefighters extricated the person from the vehicle and brought him or her up the embankment with a rope system.
All four of the people that were in the car at the time of the crash were taken to a local hospital.
Connecticut State Police are investigating the accident.
