Man found dead in idling car in Manchester had been shot: police

A 24-year-old Windsor Locks man who was found dead in an idling car in Manchester on Tuesday morning had been shot, according to police.

Officers responded to Irving Street and Woodland Street just before 4 a.m. when someone reported that a driver in an idling car was unresponsive and they found Jordan Patterson, 24, of Windsor Locks, in the driver’s seat, police said.

Officers and medical personnel tried to save him, but he died at the scene.

Police found that Patterson had been shot once in the torso.

The Manchester Police Department Detective Division is investigating and they have not arrested anyone.
