Teen Has Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Hit By Vehicle in Manchester

A 15-year-old was hit by a car in Manchester Wednesday evening, was taken to Connecticut Children's, and she has life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officials said they were called to the scene in the area of Hilliard Street and New State Road just after 5:30 p.m. and found the teenage victim in the road.

Police said the vehicle was found a short distance and the 81-year-old Manchester man who was driver was not hurt and he is cooperating with the investigation.

The Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit and the Metro Traffic Services Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating.
