A Newington man is charged with forging receipts for a coin machine in South Windsor. Police arrested Mark Charamut, 32, Wednesday.
They said he and another man would get an authentic receipt from a Coinstar machine for a small amount of money, and then alter it to make it seem like a much bigger amount of cash.
Charamut was previously arrested in other towns on the same charges after a receipt with a typo - foods was spelled fooods - tipped off a clerk.
Police in Plainville notified South Windsor police about the alleged fraud.
