Police Arrest Suspect in Car Break-Ins, Credit Card Thefts

South Windsor police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a number of recent car break-ins.

Travis Carlson, 18, of 75 Chase Farm Road in South Windsor, was arrested after allegedly stealing credit cards from people’s cars. Surveillance video shows Carlson using the stolen cards at a local pharmacy, police said.

According to police, Carlson confessed to being involved in the incident.

Carlson was charged with two counts of burglary in the first degree, four counts of burglary in the third degree, fifth-degree larceny, two counts of larceny in the sixth degree and credit card theft.

He is being held on $100,000 bond and is due in court today.
