Police Try to Identify Pedestrian Fatally Hit By Car in New Hartford

Connecticut State Police are trying to identify a pedestrian that was fatally struck by a car in New Hartford early Sunday.

Police said the victim was hit at the intersection of Route 202 and Maple Hollow Road around 12:30 a.m. He was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where he died of his injuries.

The victim is described as male, around 30 years old, with brown hair. He has a cross tattoo on one arm and was wearing black jeans and a dark green sweatshirt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car was not injured. No charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation.
