Police ID People Found Dead in Car

Police are looking into whether this was a murder-suicide.

Two people were found shot to death inside a parked car in Norwalk early Saturday morning and police are investigating the possibility that their deaths were a murder-suicide.

A resident contacted police around 7:45 a.m. to report that two people were parked in a black car on Avenue B and appeared to be asleep police said. The resident also told officials gunshots were heard the previous night.

When officers arrived to the scene they found a woman and man both deceased in the car from apparent gunshot wounds.

Norwalk police identified the two people as Iroquois Alston, 27, and Rickita Smalls, 22, both of Bridgeport, the Stamford Advocate reports. Alston and Smalls apparently were shot in what possibly was a double murder or murder-suicide, police told the Advocate.

Norwalk and State police along with the assistance of the Western District Crime Scene Unit assisted with the investigation.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
