A woman is dead after a crash involving a CT Transit bus in New Haven Thursday night.
A woman is dead after being hit by a CT Transit bus in New Haven Thursday night, according to police.
Police said a 40-year-old woman was struck by the bus n the area of 852 Chapel St., between Orange Street and Church Street. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The New Haven Police Crash Team responded to the scene.

The bus remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
The scene of the crash was blocked off to traffic for several hours. No other injuries were reported.
Officials said they're investigating the crash.
