More Information Released on Southington Bank Robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery at the TD Bank on Queen Street in Southington Wednesday evening.

Police said a man wearing a ski mask pulled a gun and demanded money from the tellers at 6:04 p.m. and left through the back door and headed north on Newell Street, police said.

Police said the bank robber was around 5-feet-8 with a medium build. He was wearing a black knee-length winter coat with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath.

Under his sweatshirt, the robber's sweatshirt hood was pulled over a gray brimmed baseball hat and he was wearing a black ski mask that only exposed his eyes and mouth, police said.

He was also wearing light gloves, dark pants and gray sneakers.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call Detective James Armack at 860-378-1649 or email jarmack@southingtonpolice.org.

It's not clear how much money was taken.
