Police have arrested a man who is accused of stabbing a girl in Norwalk on Saturday night.
Officers responded to Belden Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing and found a girl who had been stabbed in the leg. Her injuries were not life-threatening and she was transported to Norwalk Hospital, police said.
Investigators identified 18-year-old Emmanuel Diaz, of Norwalk, as the suspect and said he turned himself in to police at 1 a.m. Sunday. Police said the victim and Diaz know each other.
He has been charged with assault in the second degree, risk of injury to a minor and possession of a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $100,000.
