Police are investigating a shooting in New London Thursday night.
Police received several 911 calls at 11:17 p.m. reporting shots fired and found a man who had been shot in the leg.
The victim was alert and conscious as he was transported to the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital and police said his injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and not random.
The investigation is underway and police ask anyone with information to call the New London Police Department's Detective Division at 860-447-148 or submit anonymous information via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
