Easton police are investigating the theft of mail from mailboxes.
Police said two Easton residents contacted authorities on Friday and reported that mail they had placed in their mailboxes to send out was stolen and personal checks they were mailing were altered with a different recipient’s name, a different amount and cashed at a local bank.
