Police Search for Driver Who Shot at Car During Road Rage Incident

A road rage incident in East Windsor ended with someone shooting a bullet into the other driver’s car and police are looking for the person who fired the shot.

The victim whose car was hit told police he sped up to pass a vehicle that was traveling erratically in the right lane of South Main around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, near where two lanes merge to one near Thompson Road.

After passing the other car, the driver heard a loud noise like a firecracker and initially thought it was a mechanical issue. Later, he found a bullet hole on the lower portion of the passenger side rear quarter panel.

The person he passed has a baseball hat, and possibly a goatee, and was driving a 2004 to 2008 gray Acura TL with dark tints, according to police.
