Power Goes Out at CCSU

Power is out at Central Connecticut State University bubble and a parking garage.

Central Connecticut State University is working on restoring power after a switch failed on Tuesday.

A switch failed at 11:45 a.m. in front of Copernicus parking garage.

The outage has affected Kaiser Annex bubble, which has been evacuated. It also affected the Copernicus parking garage and four residence halls: Sam May, Sheridan, Vance and Gallaudet. Power was restored to the dorms within about 40 minutes.

Students have been told that there are OK to stay in their dorms. School officials said the priority will be to restore power to the residence halls first.

CCSU officials said this is not a CL&P issue.
